4. What characters are introduced? Characterization: physical description, attitudes, beliefs, background, etc.

Mr. Utterson... has a rugged face that never smiles. He scarcely expresses his emotions and doesn't converse that well with others, but under the influence of alcohol, his eyes emit an aura of amiability. His actions speak louder than his words, and the lawyer follows his own rigorous set of codes. He helps others more so than reproving them.

Mr. Enfield... is a distant cousin of Mr. Utterson and often walks together with the lawyer, sharing bits of information.
Mr. Hyde... is an extraordinary man who gives off a strong sense of deformity. He is a sinister person.

5. What is the setting? Consider in particular: street descriptions and housing. Significance?

The setting is particularly described through weather conditions. The setting also sets up an adequate atmosphere that ties in well with the various themes in the short story.

6. If Hyde appears, what is Mr. Hyde like? Characterization: physical description, attitudes, beliefs, background, etc.

Mr. Hyde appears as the juggernaut that runs over the little girl without a word of apology. He seemed not to resist but gave looks that frightened the people. He just walked and went over the girl.

7. If Hyde appears, how do people react to Mr. Hyde?

People react to people with a constant repulsion towards Mr. Hyde. They take a loathing for him as soon as they have set their eyes on Mr. Hyde. Some thought even of murder as they looked at him. Since that was unearthly, the people tried to make a scandal of his trampling over the girl and damage his reputation but just received money instead.
